Materials: cardboard pop flats, tempera, colored paper, scissors, glue
I tied this lesson to Louis Nevelson (naturally!) I demonstrated several different techniques for folding and scoring paper, then students chose 3 - 4 coordinating colors. One color was their base color and covered the bottom of the box. We painted the box to match their base color. Then the students were instructed to create a minimum of 7 different techniques/ideas. The students loved borrowing ideas from one another and changing them so they were "unique".
