For my 8th grade 12 week rotation I try to incorporate a variety of mediums. This year we studied "The Scream" by Edward Munch. First I gave the students black and white line drawings and had them color the picture with oil pastels without showing them the original. We then drew our own interpretations and traced these onto foam blocks for our printmaking mini-lesson. For a final touch we then recreated our drawing using tooling foil. Students were able to explore a variety of mediums and learn about a famous artist in a relatively short period of time.
