Materials: white paper, drawing boards, ink, found items

This is a great end of the year lesson for when students really want to be outside. I have each student grab 3-4 sheets of white drawing paper, a dixie cup with appx. 1/2" ink, and we head outdoors. I instruct them to draw items from nature using only found items - sticks, weeds, dandelions, etc. After spending around 30 minutes drawing we head back inside where students may touch up areas, as well as shade or embellish with pencil.
