Vocabulary Words: perspective, art history
We all know the sure-fire way to get middle school students to "buy-in" to your program is to make them be successful. I showed my students how to make a hallway using basic perspective. Before turning them loose to personalize their hallways I asked that they include one famous artwork on the walls. Many balked at first, but as they explored my art books many ended up doing several famous paintings because they couldn't choose a favorite!
