Vocabulary Words: Line Pattern, variety

Materials: 12x18" white paper, sharpie, scissors, glue, wallpaper scrap OR markers

A new twist to the cat that my students love to draw is this pattern cat. Students drew their cats, then divided the cat into sections. Inside each section they drew a different line pattern. They then cut out their cat and glued it onto wallpaper. A variation is for students to draw line patterns on the background, or to draw line patterns on colored paper.
