Materials: 12x18" white paper, crayons, sharpie, "Creature Features" handouts

This project stimulates creative thinking while still maintaining a structured lesson. I have the students draw one "page" at a time, starting with the creature's eyes, then the creature's mouth, ears, etc. When the student has a finished creation, I have them create a name for their new species, as well as a habitat for it.
