I read the book
"Animal Dreaming: An Aboriginal Dreamtime Story" by Paul Morin to my
3rd grade class. We looked at the pictures and discussed the patterns
and lines. Students then used their pencil erasers, dipping them in
paint and creating a pattern, using only dots, and directing the eye.
When the paintings were finished students then drew the animal of their
choice on white paper. We used sharpie and a brown marker to create
line patterns inside the animal. When completed students cut out their
animal and glued it on their dot paintings.
