Vocabulary Words: Line, Texture, Van Gogh, Impressionism, Warm Colors, Cool Colors

Materials: 12x18" colored paper, crayons, Oil Pastels, Sharpie

This project focuses on the art of Vincent VanGogh. Once I hook them with "the ear thing", I move on to greater detail of his life. We study "Starry Night", and begin practicing drawing trees. I show them how to draw realistic trees, and then we draw our final projects on colored paper. The sky is then filled with warm colored oil pastels for a sunny day, or cool colors for a starry night.
