Materials: 12x18" colored paper, Paintbrushes from 4th Grade Pointallism Lesson, tempera paint, pastels
Students chose a piece of colored paper to use as their background. We made our rubberband paintbrushes (directions found on Pointallism Lesson,
then we made a heart stencil. Students chose 2 colors of tempera they
thought would have high contrast with their chosen background paper.
Using the outside part of their stencil students painted their heart,
making sure to dab the paint on. After the paint had dried students
"finished" their hearts using pastels.
