Materials: 12x12" white paper, Sharpie, crayons, various textures for rubbing
Settlers would move to the plains with very little supplies, so they
couldn't afford to waste anything. When their clothes wore out the
women would piece the remnants together to create quilts. These quilts
became known as Crazy Quilts. We made ours by finding different
textures and making rubbings on them with crayons. Patterns were
included in some sections for variety.
