Vocabulary Words: Balance (Symmetry), Shape (Geometric/Irregular), Congruent, Accented Neutral Scheme, Layering, Variety

Materials: 12" square red and blue paper, white & black paper, scissors, glue

This project is very design based. We discuss the different vocabulary words, then each students chose either red or blue paper. I have them fold their paper twice so they end up with 4 of each shape and glue down. I encourage them to use a variety of sizes and to layer the black and white shapes.
